Police in Ayrshire have seized more than £3,000 worth of illegal vape products as a crackdown on illicit goods continues.
Feedback from the local community has coninued to highlight concerns about illegal nicotine vape products and their sales to under-age buyers.
In partnership with North Ayrshire Trading Standards, police attended vape retailers across Ayrshire on Wednesday.
Several retailers demonstrated compliance in their age-verification checks and UK-approved vape products.
However, one store in Irvine was found to be selling non-compliant disposable vapes and counterfeit loose tobacco.
Some of the illicit vapes contained the nicotine of more than 700 cigarettes within a single disposable unit.
Iillegal products with an estimated retail value of £3,500 were seized by police for destruction.
