NHS Ayrshire and Arran has issued advice for patients heading to University Hospital Ayr this morning.
The health board is urging patients to give themselves extra time when heading to the hospital due to flooding and traffic congestion on surrounding roads.
A spokesperson said: "The continued heavy rain has caused flooding in some areas, and while the area outside University Hospital Ayr has been cleared of flooding, the traffic is till very busy on all approach roads.
"Please allow extra time for your journey if you are travelling to the hospital."
