STAFF at the Galleon Leisure Centre in Kilmarnock have said a fond farewell to a long-serving member of their team.

Jacqui Telford joined the centre as a bar and catering stewardess back in February 1990, and has overseen the operation of the department ever since.

Jacqui was presented with a gift from her fellow staff as she marked her final day at the centre.

A spokesperson for the centre said: "Jacqui has formed some great relationships with staff and customers over the years and has thoroughly enjoyed her time here.

"We have thoroughly enjoyed having you on board and the bar/catering department is going to miss your organisational skills, your leadership and your strength of character and personality.

"We appreciate everything you have done in the centre and we also appreciate the fact that you will be assisting with the transition and training staff in your role in the early weeks of the new year.

"We really do wish you a long and happy retirement Jacqui and we honestly mean it when we say we don’t know how we’ll cope without you."
