It's set to be a glorious weekend of weather across Ayrshire, with locals set to flock to the nearest pubs and restaurants for some food and drink. 

Eateries and watering holes with beer gardens will be extremely popular, and we've rounded up some of the most popular across the region below.

The BUF, Prestwick

First on the list is The BUF, a popular spot in the heart of Prestwick. It has a range of tables to sit at, with a strong selection of food and drinks on offer. 

The venue hosted a grand reopening of its beer garden back in March.

Smiths has a spacious beer garden in the centre of Ayr, with a mix of covered and uncovered seating. 

The pub is dog friendly, and has free wifi on offer for patrons to make sure you don't miss a thing.

The Failford Inn is a classic, welcoming country inn with old world bar and traditional restaurant with a beer garden set on the banks of the River Ayr.

The beer garden is dog friendly with stunning views over the nearby river to accompany your drinks with friends and family.

Set in the heart of Kilmarnock, First Edition is a popular pub for food and drinks with locals of all ages. 

It has a large beer garden at the rear which will provide a great place for punters to spend their time.

The Northern Way reopened last year following its takeover by pub chain Amber Taverns. 

The former R&A Sports Bar has a busy beer garden that is open all summer for revellers to enjoy.

The Pop Inn, Stevenston

The Pop Inn in Stevenston is often considered one of the areas busiest bars - particularly in the hot weather due to its extensive beer garden.

While, following a complete refurbishment in 2014, it has also received much praise for the food served in the bar.

One of the most popular bars in the town, Sharps was taken over by owners Nick and Sara Veitch two years ago.

The couple revamped the beer garden and it is now a hotbed of live music and good times.
