A man has been arrested and charged following reports of off-road bikes and quads being used illegally in Kilmarnock.
A 35-year-old man was reported over the weekend for various road traffic offences following the incidents in the Onthank and Southcraigs area of the town.
Members of the public have reporting to police that the bikes are causing a noise nuisance as well as posing a danger to others using nearby open spaces.
Police Inspector Iain Farmer says "This may seem like harmless fun to those using these vehicles, the anti-social element is something that members of the public contact us about on a regular basis.
"If you are using these vehicles illegally, you will be stopped and charged, and the vehicle will be seized.
"Can I remind people who use quads or other off road bikes that if you are going to use them on private agricultural land that you seek permission from that landowner first."
