Talented winger Gary Mackay-Steven has extended his contract with Kilmarnock until the end of the season.
The winger has featured four times for the Rugby Park side during a busy festive period and has now penned a further short-term deal after signing for just a few weeks back in December.
The 33-year-old former Scotland international will keep his number 39 shirt as the side prepare for next Saturday's Scottish Cup tie with Dundee.
The former Dundee United, Celtic and Aberdeen winger had been training at Rugby Park during the first few months of the season to try and restore his fitness.
He was plagued by injuries prior to the end of his two-and-a-half-year stint at Hearts in the summer.
Mackay-Steven had not played for 14 months, with his last appearance before signing for Killie coming in the Jambos defeat at home to Fiorentina in early October 2022.
However, the wide player, who won two caps for Scotland, showed enough in training to convince Kilmarnock boss Derek McInnes – under whom he played at Aberdeen – that he can help the Ayrshire side this season.
